Ogunquit is a resort town in York County on the southern coast of Maine, situated approximately 75 miles north of Boston and 35 miles south of Portland. The town is drained by the Josias and Ogunquit Rivers, and the Ogunquit River separates the barrier beach from the mainland, creating a stretch of sandy coastline roughly 3.5 miles in length. Marginal Way, a 1.25-mile paved path along the rocky ocean cliffs, connects the main beach area to Perkins Cove at the south end of town. The Rachel Carson National Wildlife Refuge borders Ogunquit to the north, extending through adjacent Wells.
Condo inventory in Ogunquit is centered primarily near the village core and the Shore Road corridor, which runs along the western edge of town and provides access to both Marginal Way and Perkins Cove. Properties range from smaller units within walking distance of the beach area to larger configurations in quieter residential sections. The Ogunquit Museum of American Art and the Ogunquit Playhouse are both located along Shore Road, and Perkins Cove — a working harbor with shops and galleries occupying former fishing shacks — sits at the southern end of the Marginal Way trail.
