Troy Williams of Williams Realty Partners of Keller Williams Coastal Realty presented a check for $2,000.00 to the York Ambulance Association, Inc. (YAAI) on Friday, June 7, 2019. The contribution is for the YAAI’s ongoing capital fundraising campaign.
When asked about the donation, Williams said, “When I was approached by members of the YAAI board about stepping up, it was a no brainer. YAAI is a 501 (c) 3 non-profit and they do so much good in local communities (of York, South Berwick, and Rollinsford, NH). My family personally needed ambulance services last year and I really don’t know what the outcome would have been if this organization wasn’t available to be there for us.”
Last year alone, YAAI provided 2,200 emergency transports and 450 non-emergency transports. The Association’s 16 Paramedics, 10 Advanced Emergency Medical Technicians and 12 Emergency Medical Technicians make sure teams are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. In addition, Blood Pressure and Glucose Checks and CPR and Choke Classes are provided. YAAI also makes sure there is coverage at parades, fireworks, and all of the York High School and Marshwood High School home football games.
“On behalf of the York Ambulance Association, we extend our sincere thanks for your ongoing support and your investment in this community-wide partnership for excellence in emergency medical transportation,” Karen Uebele, Campaign Chairwoman for the York Ambulance Association stated in a letter.
Williams went on to say, “I encourage anyone who can give to this capital fund to do so. I hope no one ever needs emergency services, but the peace of mind that comes from knowing the YAAI is there is priceless. The health education and medical screenings that (they) provide are also incredibly valuable.”
